The Wilderness Golf Course
Hit the links at the Wilderness Golf Course in Lake Jackson. Exceptional bunkering and putting surfaces will challenge players of every skill level. Surrounded by natural landscapes that native wildlife and birds thrive on, it's fitting that the Wilderness is a certified Audubon Sanctuary golf course in Texas. Freeport Municipal Golf Course
Enjoy the gulf breezes on this 7000-yard long links-style course. Golfers enjoy the numerous palm trees that dot the course and can appreciate that the Freeport Golf Course is the best golf value in Texas. Diving
The Mammoth Lake Scuba Park
Dive in this massive Texas lake and marvel at the many different structures that sit at the bottom. Boats, jets, a looping starship, fire trucks, a yellow submarine and a metal mammoth are just a few of the items divers will discover in this 52-acre park in Clute. Before becoming one of the largest dive lakes in the nation, this was the site where Columbian mammoth remains were unearthed. www.mammothlakescuba.com
The Flower Gardens National Marine Sanctuary
This premier diving destination is about 100 miles off the coast of Freeport. The northernmost coral reefs in the continental United States are located here. If you want to see Star and Brain coral, Manta Rays, Hammerhead sharks, and Loggerhead sea turtles then book a trip with one of the local dive charters. You might even spot a whale shark if you visit this national treasure in July, August or September. Best suited for intermediate or advanced divers. Kayaking/Canoeing
Christmas Bay Paddling Trail
This shallow 4,173-acre bay is bordered by the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge and has extensive oyster reefs and salt marsh ideal for fishing or bird watching. Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge

San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge
Put your kayak in at the Cedar Lake Creek Fishing Area and look for a variety of birds including snow geese, roseate spoonbills, yellow rails, and Neotropical Migratory birds. Brazos River Trail
This trail unfolds over one of the most incredible ecological systems in our region, where the historic Brazos River winds through the dense, wet Columbia Bottomlands. This lush world of towering trees, palmetto thickets and flowering plants supports a multitude of wildlife species and provides a critically important stopover habitat for migrating birds. Launch points include the Wilderness Park in Lake Jackson and the Brazos River County Park in Angleton. Surfing
A moderate climate and gulf waves make for some of the best surfing conditions on the Texas coast. Waves are generally small to moderate and perfect for novice or less experienced surfers. Contact one of the local surf shops for rentals, gear and more information.

Auto & Kart Racing
Satisfy your need for speed at MSR Houston, the premier road course and karting track in Texas. Ride or drive your choice of available cars or your own car around the 17 curves on the coarse. Options include NASCAR, BMW M3, Mercedes C63, Panoz GTS, or a Thunder Roadster.
