The Justin Hurst Wildlife Management Area has nature trails that provide visitors the opportunity to explore an oak-hackberry mote and adjacent grasslands on this area in Jones Creek near Freeport. Great place for spotting raptors, waterfowl, and spring migrants. Jones Creek and Live Oak Nature Loops are open year round and are located just off of Highway 36. Portions of the Justin Hurst WMA are open for tours scheduled in advanced.
