Spring Astronomy Day

May 14 @ 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The fun begins at 4:00 p.m. with safe solar viewing for daylight hours. Seeing the Sun through a telescope is an awesome sight. It’s a dynamic, living body, changing unpredictably from day to day.
When the sky darkens you can catch a closer glimpse of the moon, stars and maybe even Mars. There will be telescopes to entice visitors to look for the sky’s wonders along with interactive computers, demonstrations and volunteers to assist and answer questions.
This star party also includes free planetarium shows every half hour and ViewSpace, an exhibit from the Space Telescope Science Institute, home of NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
