Patriotic Boat Parade

The boat parade begins on the San Bernard River at FM 521 in Brazoria and ends at FM 2611 in Churchill. Public viewing sites are Dido's Restaurant and the FOR Community Center at 20450 CR 510B, Brazoria.

Since 1947, fisherman have been drawn to this fishing tournament each year in the hopes of catching the biggest redfish, barracuda, or any other offshore or inshore fish. The Fishin’ Fiesta is sponsored by the Freeport Lions Club. This year the Fishin' Fiesta will only have the fishing tournament, cook-offs, carnival, and fireworks. The fishing tournament is one of the largest on the Gulf and includes prizes for both offshore and inshore categories. Fireworks display will be on Saturday night.

Fireworks Display

The Brazoria Lion’s Club will have Celebrate America Fireworks! Sunday, July 5th, 2020. No kid games, no food vendors, no bands or program — just fireworks display with social distancing. The fireworks can be seen near the intersection of Hwy. 36 and Hwy. 332 in Brazoria.

The planetarium show features a 30-foot dome equipped with a Spitz Star Ball projector to produce the night sky as it appears to the naked eye, together with a large variety of high tech equipment to give a close-up feel for things like comets, exploding stars, and black holes.  Shows change monthly.
